Triple Trophy Return for Farsley

Farsley Celtic Badminton Club ended the 2017-18 season with a silverware triple in the Leeds & District Badminton League.

The Mixed A team finished as League 3 champions, winning 12 of their 14 games.

The Men’s C team retained the Anchor Trophy in the cup, beating Farsley B in the final and the Mixed B team were triumphant in the Fryer Hallam cup competition.

Farsley Ladies almost made it four trophies for the club, but were pipped by Horsforth in the Jubilee Cup trophy final.

Chairman Ian Richardson said: “To win a league title and have four finalists in the cup competitions was a tremendous effort by the club – and it’s great to have more silverware coming in. Congratulations to all the players involved, and we look forward to the 2018-19 season with real optimism.”
