Club’s First Honorary Member Writes Open Letter

Farsley Celtic Badminton Club’s first ever Honorary Member, Charles Watkinson, has written an open letter to all members of the club on receipt of his Lifetime Membership.

Charles, who still competes to a high standard in his eighties, has been a long-time member of Farsley and was one of the league’s strongest players at his peak.

Charles’s letter reads:

To the Committee and Members of Farsley Celtic Badminton Club: Just to acknowledge and express my appreciation for making me an Honorary Member of the Club.

I have enjoyed playing at Farsley over the years, both on club nights and in matches, and sharing in its success.

I hope to continue playing (at my pace) and also to continue supporting the Club for the coming and future seasons.
