Captain’s Report – Men’s A Season Review 2016-17

After relegation at the end of the 2015/16 badminton season, the A team (Matt P, Mark B, Sam Steve R & Kieran) galvanised itself and managed to win the 3rd Division title and gain promotion back to League 2.

The season started with a 9-0 win, but due to some timing issues at Roundhegians we were forced into two new pairings. However, the pairings worked and they continued to the end of the season. But for Steve moving away these pairs would have carried on into the new season.

Thanks to John P, Charles, Adam, Greg, Matt & Mr. Chairman who stood in for the holidaying Bellers at various points during the season.

Hopefully, if we manage to stay in League 2 the BBQ at the holiday king will be on!

After two wins in the handicap, we drew the Farsley C team. The result was looking to be a very close outcome until an unfortunate injury, but congratulations to the C team for bringing the trophy back to Farsley – Paul Davies, Men’s A Team Captain
